PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH EVE JOHNSTON FOR A D&AD BRIEF
The brief for this project was to
design a visual identity for the annual 
Universal Music Group London staff event: 
UMusic Autumn 2024





INSIGHT
Those working with music will (hopefully) enjoy music so much that they are basically living
and breathing the stuff. Music can be a powerful source of emotion, the right tune can give us goosebumps
or get us dancing like nobody’s watching.


SOLUTION
Face the Music helps Universal Music Group employees embrace their weird and quirky music driven emotions. 
Guided by the literal interpretation of the phrase ‘Face the Music’ - we created a series of juvenile, yet stylish, music faces to build buzz and express excitement.

An interactive element allows guests to create their own music face, which is then printed onto their own custom merchandise. We have also considered advertising both in and out of the office.

As an extra feature, guests are prompted at certain points in the event to vote for the mood of the venue.
